Butyl avocadate is the ester of butyl alcohol and the fatty acid derived from Persea Gratissima oil (avocado oil). It is also called Avocutine.

What are the benefits of using Butyl Avocadate?

  • Reduces excess sebum by suppressing the synthesis of the 5-alpha reductase that affects the activity of sebaceous glands.
  • It can reduce scalp desquamation (dandruff) and greasy hair appearance.
  • Reduces the appearance of a shiny T-zone.

Butyl avocadate and retinol:

Butyl avocadate has all the same properties as retinol, but with fewer or no side effects. Butyl avocadate can treat acne and is more suitable for people with sensitive skin and skin of colour.

Retinol is preferred to be the best option for treating acne, but many people can be sensitive to it.
