Anigozanthos flavidus extract for Skin

Anigozanthos flavidus extract or Kangaroo flower extract is the flower of an endemic Australian plant, it contains rutin and fructose.

• Anti-wrinkle: a study showed that the skins treated with a cream containing the extract of Anigozanthos flavidus showed a decrease in wrinkle depth by 10% which was significant, after 28 days of application, in comparison with the skins treated with cream A (placebo cream). A decrease in 10 wrinkle depth of 5% is visible one hour after the application of the cream.

• Prevents sagging and lifts the skin: the extract of Anigozanthos flavidus significantly stimulates the contractile forces of the non-cellular dermal equivalents. The extract of Anigozanthos flavidus exerts an immediate, astringent, tensioning, and lifting physical effect and can thus be used to exert an immediate tensioning effect on mature skin.

• Promotes collagen production: the extract of Anigozanthos flavidus stimulates collagen XVII synthesis by the human keratinocytes. It also stimulates procollagen I in the dermal fibroblasts.

• Promotes tenascin-X: the extract ofAnigozanthos flavidus stimulates tenascin-X in the human fibroblasts.

Anigozanthos flavidus extract is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin and skin of colour, but do make sure to conduct a test patch to see if you are allergic to this extract.
