Aloe perryi, known as Socotrine aloe, is endemic to Socotra Yemen island.

• Anti-proliferative activity: different extracts of A. perryi displays anti-proliferative activity that can significantly inhibit the growth of various cancer cell lines like Human hepatocellular carcinoma, human colon cancer, human breast cancer, human lung adenocarcinoma, human prostate cancer, human epithelial carcinoma, and human cervical cancer cell lines in a concentration-dependent manner.

• Hypoglycaemic, insulin-releasing, and hepatoprotective effect: A. perryi also has the ability to reduce fasting blood glucose, increase insulin action, and attenuate abnormal lipid, metabolism in STZ-diabetic rats.

• Antiulcer activities: A. perryi extract has antiulcer activities that can help in gastric ulcer management.

• Anti-cancer potential: A. perryi extract has some anti-cancer potential that could work against human breast cancer and normal cell lines.
