Best Korean Sunscreens for Dry skin

Now if you’re someone with dry skin and have tried American sunscreens, you would have experienced some sort of irritation, redness, or breakouts. Then trying out Korean sunscreens should be a really good option.

If you have dry or dehydrated sensitive skin, you will have to look for mineral and chemical Korean sunscreens that are oil-free, non-greasy, replace makeup at some times, and should be able to absorb into the skin quickly.

Also, make sure the PA rating of these sunscreens is PA++++ (this is the best rating).

Note: unlike chemical sunscreens, mineral sunscreens might leave a white cast on the skin.

Important Note

You shouldn’t fully rely on Korean sunscreens for protecting your skin because they are a bit controversial. So we recommend using another American sunscreen along with the Korean sunscreen (Korean sunscreens are very light and should absorb into the skin properly).

How did we choose?

We chose each Korean sunscreen based on how commonly it was used by people with dry skin and how many times it popped up on our radar.

The sunscreens we got in this product review use a combination of mineral and chemical UV filters so they should work for every type of dry skin.

Our Pick:

1. Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++)

Which of these sunscreens would be suitable for you?

To be honest, all of these sunscreens should be suitable for you as they all contain really high hydrating and moisturizing ingredients along with proper sun protection except for the Purito sunscreen.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is whether the sunscreen should be a mineral or a chemical (although both will still work for dry skin types).

The Women’s Alley would also love it if you would take a look at these other products:

  • A’PIEU Pure Block Daily Sunscreen Cream SPF45/PA+++ 50ml (It is a chemical sunscreen that is great for darker skin tones and is highly moisturizing).
  • Etude House Soon Jung Mild Defence Sun Cream SPF49 PA++ (it is a mineral sunscreen that is highly moisturizing).
